Brief history of the university in Chiriqui

In 1965, began work in the Chiriqui province as part of the Faculty of Engineering, theRegional Extension David, offering surveying career. Was serving then as DirectorProfessor Evelia Alvarado.

Initially worked in a wooden building of two floors, located between the 4th Ave Street east and south. In 1966 the administrative sector of the university extension is moved to another building and classes will be held in the classrooms of Centro Escolar Antonio Jose deSucre.

From 1972 to 1974 started racing Technical and Technician Electrical Building. Later, in 1975, joined the race in Technician Industrial Mechanics. In the same year (1975) separated from the University of Panama since renamed Polytechnic Institute, as director Mr. Roberto Barraza, who delegated to Mr. Mario Mata as manager of the same administrative area.
